How ridiculous can the entertainment industry be? Now I can see why artists who complain about the label not paying them enough royalties are coming from.
Unfortunately, both Mr. Loaf and Mr. Steinman are now deceased, but "Bat Out Of Hell" is an amazing musical legacy. And hopefully Mrs. Loud can make out all right in the end...
Fantastic article again Bernard. How many stories are out there just like BOOH, classic albums with a record label-ripoff back story? Hundreds, I bet. PS I’ve never understood the mystery around what Meat Loaf wouldn’t do when it came to love. The answer is he wouldn’t cheat. There’s a clue when Mrs Loud sings “sooner or later you’ll be screwing around” and Loaf replies “I won’t do that.” That’s my take, anyway!
What happened to Meat Loaf's money? [October 24, 1993]
a great tale! not a fan of the music, but it's epic in so many ways - cheers

Two albums I've managed to avoid listening to my entire life. Meatloaf's and Pearl Jam's. I still believe I'm not missing much!
